1 Measurement, Integration and Test Section (376) Environmental Test Laboratory Group 3765 Themis Pre-Environmental Review 3/06

March 2006Themis Pre-Environmental Review p 2 Introduction –The ETL is presently 18 employees working in 4 separate functional areas (Dynamics, Data Acquisition, Thermal Vacuum, Solar Simulation & Cryogenics). –The ETL is a major JPL facility comprised of 4 large buildings and a large amount of equipment valued at many millions of dollars (Buildings 144, 150, 248, & 306). –The Environmental Testing is process based and operational safety requirements are institutionally controlled. –The ETL is a key element in the life cycle of all JPL “in-house” flight projects and much of the R&D development. –ETL is currently trying to expand its business base to other centers, businesses and outside companies. The Environmental Test Laboratory (ETL)
