The outline of the workshop / project Current project gives priority over the following six programs which are selected from the many programs of school health. Program A and B must be run as compulsory ones by every school which participates in this project and some of the programs from C to F should be selected as needed programs for each school. A.To set up a school health committee: Committee should consist of the principal of each school, teachers and native villagers. To appoint school health staffs or set up a school health office in school: This program is to appoint school health staff and to furnish medicines and equipments.

B.To evaluate every school child’s growth and nutritional status: This program includes the development of a children’s growth standard, designing and optimization of desks, chairs, blackboards, toilets etc.

C.To instruct the improvement of the lifestyle by HQC method: It means instruction for cleanliness, brushing teeth, regular meal, exercises, neatness, bathing, clothing and how to have a good sleep(earlier getting to sleep and earlier waking up).

D.To improve the school health environment by HQC method: This program is to check and to improve the state of drinking water, toilet, luminous, ventilation and temperature of classrooms, color of blackboards, etc.

E.To develop and implement a school safety program by HQC method: This program consists of the following steps. First, is to search for dangerous places and objects in school. Second is to draw up a map for dangerous parts in school using the result of the searching programs. Third is to develop the searching method and improve or remove the object of dangers by teachers and children. Forth is to implement and to evaluate the improvement plan.
