Introduction Women in Engineering committee (WIE) is one of the new standing committees of the World Federation of Engineers (WFEO). It was established in February The Committee was officially inaugurated in July 2008 at the INWES Conference in Lille, with the member ship of eleven countries and UNESCO. The Committee was created as a result of the Cartage declaration at the Colloquium of Women Engineers held in Tunis, Tunisia with the Theme "Empowering Women in Engineering and Technology".

WHO WE ARE? We are Scientists and professionals people who had initial or complementary education in sciences, technologies, engineering and those allow us to: work in the field of one several technologies belong to professional organisations of engineers and technologists, develop our career in our fields of activities, develop our engineer and/or PhD identity, roles, with our qualifications and occupations, which be the voice of our professions.

Our Goal Stimulate a greater number of participants in the provision of global women's scientific papers in the conference in coordination with the technical Committee of the Conference The promotion of greater presence from women globally in Kuwait to attend the conference through a marketing campaign prepared by members of the Committee Technical activities Social activities

Our Mission To provide information on Empowering Women in the Engineering Profession and on related issues to the public and the Profession. To be recognized by national and international organizations and the public as a respected and valuable source of advice and guidance on policies interest and concerns that relate to empowering women in engineering and Technology. To facilitate communication between its member nations on subjects related to empowering women in engineering and technology. To foster peace, socioeconomic, security and sustainable development among all countries of the world through the promotion of women in engineering and technology. To show that empowering women in engineering and technology can facilitate relationships between governments business and people by enhancing the engineering dimensions on policies and investment.

Our Vision To work towards gender balance for engineering and technology. To promote gender balance within universities and within the profession of engineering and the various fields of technology for a greater potential and diversity in innovation. To facilitate communication and the sharing of information between its member nations on subjects related to gender balance in engineering and technology.

Our Objectives Recognizing and promoting world wide the contributions of women engineers and technologists, for visibility, encouragement and support; Encourage women to join the profession of engineering and the fields of technology; Participating to the evolution of our professional organisations to appropriate gender matter when promotion, decisions occur and within the actions plan; Create a network for the WIE committees of the WFEO members; Support the establishment of international centres for women in engineering and technology.
