Presentation transcript:

1.How do we define the personality traits of a hero? responsible well organized diligent dedication, focused, caring, strong morals

2.how do the setting, conflicts and antagonists influence the development of literary hero's? the defense was a conflict & also there side of the story, the conflicted that arose was Christopher Darden trying to bring the murders (nicole brown and Ronald golden) to justice. the antagonists in my eyes in this trial is o.j Simpson this influenced Chris to fight for justice and what he believe that truly happened the dead can not speak for them self's.

3. How does a hero reflect his or her particular culture in society? Christopher A. Darden (born April 7th 1957) was an African American male that i truly believe reflected posivitivly based on the acplishments of just being a graduate of law school and also being an African American to become and example of a productive member of society. -Christopher Darden got were he is right now because of Martin Luther king and other civil right actives, he got to witness a major movement during his up bringing of whites and blacks being separated and the fight to become equal individuals. (NAACP)

4. How does a hero represent his or her time period and geographical area? -Christopher Darden was born in the beginning of the civil rights era. -Christopher Darden was born in Richmond CA, in 1957 this era was a time the African American Community was poor and suppressed, Christopher represented a time period were civil rights were a given to the Caucasian race. (Cozzens Lisa 1997, Montgomery bus boycott) -the time period was during the civil rights( ) movement and this allowed Christopher Darden and the African Americans to finally dream bigger then drug dealing on there front porches. -in Richmond ca they were recovering from the war of ww2 and that was going on in the geographical area. -(Richmond, A)

5. how do various cultures reward or recognize their hero's. - some cultures recognize there hero's on a particular day as in presidents day or in this case Martin Luther king day, articles and dedications to the hero's, streets being named after them statues, memorials are all ways to salute ones hero.

6.how did your hero's childhood effect him on how he or she became your hero? His childhood was a struggle because he didn't have the finance blessings most children did. -Christopher Darden stole food when he was a child and his brother Michael sold drugs on there front pouches to have a little bit more money in there pockets Christopher was the look out for any cops or there parents. -- because of the struggle Christopher and his family had to go threw, this made Chris want to be successful in his future so his family would never have to go threw what him and his family did. (DARDEN)

7.who did your hero look up to and admire in his or her life ? did that hero ever change your heros look at things? Strangely enough, one of Darden's hero's as a child would be the same person that later on in life he would prosecute (Darden). Darden looked up to O.j Simpson because he was one of the 1st African American's ( )in the national football league. [Aldon, James]

8. how did Christopher strive to become a defense attorney in the o.j Simpson case and how was he assigned it ? -Although initially Darden was not assigned to this case. -the leading attorney stepped down due to health reasons. -that's how Darden became apart of this case. (DARDEN)

9.how did the trial of the o.j simpson case effect my hero's life ? - This case ended up effecting Christophers life after this trial chris ended up writen a book. and also ended his career as a lawyer.

10. what does a hero in your eyes mean ? what was the most heroic thing he or she did ? -i look up to Christopher because he has over came prejudice and racism, fighting for abused woman. he didn't only fight against people in court he fought against racist police officer (that in my opion contaminated the case) Mark furhman he also stood up for what he believed in and no matter what the end result was it was his life story that made him my hero(darden).
