THE LAW STUDENT SOCIETY OF KENYA History and Activities

OBJECTIVES The Law Student Society Of Kenya (LSSK) is a society incorporating all Accredited Law Schools Across the Country, a Model of The Law Society of Kenya (LSK), below is a Summary of its objectives, OBJECTIVES i. To facilitate acquisition of legal knowledge through interactions with member students in the Legal profession ii.To represent, protect and assist member students of the legal profession in Kenya in respect of learning condition acquisition of practice experience, and otherwise

i. Maintain and improve standard of conduct and the learning of the legal profession in Kenya. ii. To take part assist governmental/ non- governmental bodies on matters of law or otherwise and also to give them necessary support if required for purposes enhancing their activities and vice versa Take part in matters affecting legal profession in Kenya and the administration and practice of law in Kenya i. To make resolution and recommendation in an influential capacity on legislative matters ii. Career development iii. To ensure the efficient governance of the lssk chapters to achieve the objectives set herein. Your support towards ensuring that Law Students from each Chapter get to attain the aforementioned objectives will be highly appreciated

i. To protect and assist public in Kenya in all matters touching ancillary or incidental on law ii. To acquire or borrow money for all or any of the objectives to such manner and upon such scrutiny as may from time to time to be determined by the society. iii. To invest and deal with monies of the society manners as organized or determined as time to time. iv.To organize and conduct academic and social interaction between law universities in Kenya and across the world through moots, clinics workshops civic education mentorship programs, journals, public lectures and any other activities as the society deems fit.
