Questions?

New Approach to Missions Giving Front Range Alliance Church August 23, 2015

Why? To place a greater emphasis on missions giving at Front Range Alliance Church To increase awareness of the Great Commission Fund To simplify how our missions giving works To increase our overall giving to missions

Our 2014/15 Missions Giving Great Commission Fund $32,000 Mexico$10,100 Specials (est.)$5,000 Missionary Support* $21,422 Missions Conf.* $1,200 Total Missions Giving $69,722 *The only two items currently included in our general budget

The New Approach Separate missions budget at FRAC Funded through an annual missions faith promise All things missions will be handled through the missions budget including the GCF Separate line item in bulletin and financials showing weekly and year-to-date missions giving

Pat Jarrett Missions Director Front Range Alliance Church

The Goal for 2015/16 Increase our Missions Giving to 14% of budget (currently approx 9%) Total Missions giving goal: $93,000 Great Commission Fund (GCF) $43,000 – ($32,000 in 2014/2015) FRAC Missions Fund $50,000 – ($37,722 in 2014/2015)

FRAC Missions Budget Detail Committed Support -$26,600 (53% of budget) Roughly a $6000 increase from 2014/2015 Uncommitted or other -$22,900 (47%) Priority of giving –Will meet GCF Fund goal and Committed Support First. If Funds are available after those needs are met, we will be able to fund the Uncommitted initiatives

Supported Missionaries Nate Mirza Ed & Sue Giesbrecht Kris & Stephanie Rubesh Jason & Keri Gupta Rick Kirschman Daryl & Carolyn Platt Mexico Ministry Caleb & Alyssa Call* Chris & Sarah Baker*

Supported Missionaries 65% Overseas based 35% US Based Two new missionary partners being added Possible additional new ministry partner(s) as funds permit

Uncommitted Support Short Term Missions (Mexico and other?) $16,000 Missions Conference Care Packages Christmas Gifts to CMA FRAC Missionaries and other supported One time gifts –Special needs or projects New supported missionaries Funding of these critical items will be determined by the amount of giving received.

Great Commission Fund We want to increase our giving to the GCF to enable the CMA to send additional workers to critical fields around the world that need more laborers to bring the Gospel. Roughly 45% of our missions budget will go directly to the GCF. Factoring in our direct giving to CMA missionaries and fields and our short term missions trip(s), this increases to over 70% of our total Missions giving in this Budget.

What this means for you Prayerfully fill out a Missions Faith Promise Card by Sept 30 Don’t forget to mark your check “missions” or “GCF” if you are giving towards your faith promise

A Practical Example “Christian” gave $1,100 to FRAC last year: – $1000 general fund – $100 special missions offerings and GCF We’re asking Christian to still give $970 of this to FRAC’s general fund. (88% of total giving) We’re asking Christian to give at least $130 as his missions faith promise. (12% of total giving) We’re asking Christian to prayerfully consider giving another 2-3% towards our global missions effort.

A Practical Example At the end of this upcoming year, Christian’s giving might look like this: $970 – FRAC’s General Fund (88% of total) 97% of last year’s giving to General Fund $150 – Missions Faith Promise (14%) Christian’s 2015/16 Giving Total - $1,120

Why? To place a greater emphasis on missions giving at Front Range Alliance Church To increase awareness of the Great Commission Fund To simplify how our missions giving works To increase our overall giving to missions
