SFT S o F T w a r e D e v e l o p m e n t f o r E x p e r i m e n t s New Contract Policy...is now in place see Admin circular No 2 (rev 3)  Nathalie has paper copy (french version only) – just published Main ingredients are :  LD contracts are normally for a period of 4 years (can be shorter)  evaluation of staff member takes place in 4 th year  department organises a review twice per year  committee comprises DL, HR, 2 reps from other departments  review may result in offer of prolongation of LD or award of INDEF In transition period staff members on LD contracts awarded under previous rules will be evaluated in their 5 th year.
