Part 5: Incomplete Sentences The most common types: Word families Similar words Prepositions Conjunctions Adverbs of Frequency Verb tenses Two-word verbs

Word Families -Are words that look alike but have different endings: nation: national- nationality frequent: frequency- infrequently

Similar words -Are words that have similar meanings but cannot used interchangeably except – excerpt salary – wage – income…

Prepositions -Are small words that introduce phrases at: She learned at that school in: Brad Pitt was born in 1963

Conjunctions -Are words that join other words, phrases, or clauses: and: My mother and I like crabs although: Although he is just 23, he earns 30 millions a month.

Adverbs of Frequency -Are words that describe how often ones do something: always: I always go to school late seldom: He seldom does houseworks
