TSI INFORMATION About TSI (Texas Success Initiative) The TSI is a placement assessment which determines college readiness. It is required for AA, AAS, transfer courses, BA/BS degree plans and some certificate programs. It assesses placement level for reading, writing, and math courses. The test is computer based, does not have a time limit and it can be taken at most community college and university campuses. EXEMPTIONS: Students are exempt IF they meet the following..
