Nationalism Nationalism is a feeling of pride in and devotion to one’s nation. It is a feeling that develops among people who may share a common language, history, set of traditions, or goal. ► Nationalism can be positive by having people join together to choose their own form of government, and seek independence. ► Nationalism can also be negative by breaking up empires, causing racism and the imperialism of other nations
