Things We Need To Improve For 2006

2005 Problems Our Screw-Ups: 1.Late schedules. Many reasons for this but primarily because of a new Director of Operations. 2.Rescheduling of games according to published rules. 3.Scheduling of Cup / Shield games. 4.Mistake in Cup play in declaration of winner when game was not completed. 5.Identification of Division Champion before standings were finalized. 6.Please feel free to add to the list so we can correct them for 2006.

How to correct the Problems 1.Game report completion. Ensuring timely completion of game reports will enable us to finalize the standings earlier. 2.Stay on top of reschedules to ensure they are scheduled and completed in accordance with the Policy. Ensuring timely completion of rescheduled games will enable us to finalize the standings earlier and ensure teams complete their games by the end-of-season date. Reschedule Policy 3. The Home team for the rescheduled game shall work with the Visiting team and reschedule the game prior to the originally scheduled game date. The rescheduled game shall be played within 3 weeks of the originally scheduled date. If agreement cannot be reached, the Home Team shall supply three dates to the ERSL and the League will choose one of the three supplied dates.

How to correct the Problems - Continued 3.Ensure teams follow the scheduling of Cup and Shield games in accordance with the Bylaws. This will ensure the games are played within the specified period. Bylaw 14 or 15. Both teams must notify the ERSL of the agreed date, venue and kick off of their shield games within 7 days of the completion date of the previous round. If an agreed date, venue or kick off can not be made then the Director of Operations will decide the outcome. 4.Improve our management of the Cup and Shield to ensure no errors are made with identifying who the correct winners are of each round. 5.Need to ensure teams are aware that the standings are not final until the Fall SGM and only then if all discipline is completed.
