1. Preparations for making bannock Get supplies Prepare kitchen
Supplies Ingredients: Flour (or whole-grain flour, optional) Salt Lard or oil Baking powder Water
Supplies Cast iron pan (at least 12” in diameter) Large mixing bowl and spoon Measuring cups and spoons Clean Tea towel
Prepare kitchen area Set oven to 450°F Lightly grease cast iron pan
2. Mixing instructions 3 Cups Flour: -White or -Whole wheat A shake of salt 1 Tbsp. Baking powder
Make a well and add: 3 Tbsp. Oil 1 ½ cups of Water, stir

3. Kneading 10X – no more!
5. Bake the bannock 450° minutes Check often ✓ Golden-brown Great with butter and jam!
