Purpose The creation of “Going Beyond the Cover” circulated after much time and effort was given to Alexis’s teacher- student connection journal with Ms. Hamilton. In the coming slides, you are going to get a little taste of many of Alexis’s strengths as a writer and her thoughts and feelings as a women!

Poem #2: All About Me I am sweet, kind and people think I am an angel! However, they have been deceived because sometimes I am a bad girl... I have two minions that define my life!

Poem #4 Blessing Bless your mom Bless your dad Bless the people that surround you with love and joy... count your blessings cut your losses and count your blessings again AMEN.

Poem #5 Mama Mama you are fearless Mama you are wonderful and everything I said to you was true. For the people that do not understand the meaning of beauty they are sadly misdirected! No one is as fearless and as strong as you. You’re an inspiration!

Poem #6: Sweetest Taboo The sweet sound of love and peace extends into the sky, it is my palette of Joy. It kisses my heart and sparks a resounding happiness. I’m tickled by it’s everlasting beauty. It is a time when my mind escapes into a vast world of wonder and suspicion. It’s love; the sweetest of all Taboos.

Poem #8: Moment for Life I wish could have a moment to sing on center stage. I wish to have just one blink of a moment to shine in the spotlight. I wish that those moments would enter my life more regularly to make one moment my whole life!

Poem #9: Quiet Storms Peace leads us to comfort and a feeling of undying love that’s as smooth as the richest silk... but it’s that storm that rattles the trees and my heart at night that keeps me going ALWAYS! I long for the peace of the rainstorm that shakes my world.

Poem #10: Pearls of Life Their physical existence surrounds our world and adds a glimmer of hope. A hope that brings us all to relish in the beauties of the earth. In this earth, they are the mirror of all that’s wonderful, cherished, and prosperous!

Final Message from the Author I leave you with these final words... “I want everybody to know that our lives are so valuable; we need to live our lives with passion and wisdom! Before it is too late, we need to live and cherish each moment. I have experienced times of complete sadness, but I know that life is TOO WONDERFUL not to live with a smile on. I live like a winner because I know it’s better then feeling down. I want you to know that you can do the same; you have the power to make the best of your world. You are a child of the King; he was born, lived, and died for you... the only thing we can do is make the most of what we were given! Thank you!”
