PERFECT TOGETHER +

CPS Receivers The infrared (IR) receiver unit supports a set of 64 student response pads. The receivers can accept signals from IR response pads up to 60 feet away. Although students must have a direct line-of-sight to transmit signals to the IR receiver unit, students can also send signals at angles such as 90°, 120°, 180°, and 270°. The radio frequency (RF) receiver unit supports a set of 1000 student response pads. The receivers can accept signals from RF response pads up to 200 feet away. Students do not need a line-of-sight to transmit signals to the RF receiver unit. 1. Plug in the CPS receiver to an available USB port on your computer. Launch Study Island 1. Go to 2. Log in at the top left-hand corner of page. IR ReceiverRF The infrared (IR) receiver unit supports a set of 64 student response pads. Formal Technical FAQ’S Admin will need to check box on admin page that says: “Allow classroom response system (CRS) integration.” Must have eInstruction software already installed, and be the newest version available (CPS 5.0) Schools will need to have JAVA 1.4 or above. Most do already eInstruction’s GEN 1 IR, GEN 2 IR, GEN 2 RF systems work with SI. GEN 1 RF is NOT compatible. The stats will automatically import into Study Island’s School Stats area when a teacher clicks “End Session”

More FAQ’s Teachers can see reports with the questions divided by topic, then click the student’s name to see question info, then click the question info to see the actual question and answers. Explanation button is always there Admins can click on the blue question mark icon ? to see detailed instructions. Teachers can find this information by clicking on the HELP tab at the top of their teacher page, Teacher Features, Additional Features and Clicker Use.

Why are we perfect Together ? The integration between CPS and Study Island allows Study Island to be used more effectively in the classroom. Teachers can lead students through SI as a class activity while collecting data as if each student were on their own computer. Teachers can print out worksheets and have students enter answers through response pads giving teachers more flexibility. Students work at own pace.
