ICAO ACP WGF, Feb Conclusions Radio spectrum is a key enabler for many European Community policies –radio spectrum is not only used in communications ! –horizontal policies links European Community dimension can add value: –co-ordination of spectrum approaches and policies –policy input rather than technically driven decision processes –foster modernisation of spectrum management –introduce legal certainty in spectrum harmonisation, increase flexibility –support innovative technologies and services Improvement in the use of the radio spectrum in the EU will be a long-term process - collaboration between many actors needed
