Give a brief description of the unique features of the design style.  Be the Designer! u Pretend you have been hired by a family to do either a bedroom (14’ x 16’) or living room (16’ x 22’). Keeping the cost down is important to the family. u Decide on a design style and color scheme. u Find samples of design elements for your room – furniture, floor coverings, rugs, wall treatments, window treatments, lighting, accent pieces, etc. u Mount and label the samples on a poster board. Include approximate costs. u Draw a floor plan with suggested furniture on graph paper.
