Technical Co-Sponsorships IEEE Transactions on Sustainable Energy IEEE Transactions on Smart GRID

Technical Co-Sponsorships MOTION #1 (from the Publication Committee) Approve to request that SYSC will be a technical co-sponsor of the IEEE Transactions on Sustainable Energy MOTION #2 (from the Publication Committee) Approve to request that SYSC will be a technical co-sponsor of the IEEE Transactions on Smart GRID

IEEE Systems Compendium (1) New Electronic Publication Goals: –Collect material published by the IEEE in the field of interests of the Systems Council Papers published in –IEEE Systems Journal –journals, magazines, and newsletters of the SYSC Member Societies –journals, magazines, and newsletters of the other IEEE Societies, Councils, and Organizational Units –proceedings of the IEEE Systems Conference –proceedings of conferences of the SYSC Member Societies –proceedings of the other IEEE Societies, Councils, and Organizational Units –Not republishing, but rebinding the available knowledge by focusing on a multidisciplinary topic which is typically contained in many journals and conference proceedings of many Societies, Councils and other OUs –Not changing the status of papers (readers will clearly see the difference between journal and conference papers; conference papers will not be citable as journal papers due to publication in the Compendium) –Simplify the access to the knowledge published by the IEEE on systems –Allow for selling a single title to people interested in systems –Reduce the cost of accessing to the knowledge on systems

IEEE Systems Compendium (2) Budget –To be analyzed and discussed with the IEEE Technical aspects –Technologies already available in the IEEE Editor-in-Chief and Editorial Board –To be identified with the cooperation of all SYSC Member Societies –At least one Associate Editor per SYSC Member Society Editorial Board Activities –Selecting papers already published by the IEEE topic within the field of interest of the SYSC

IEEE Systems Compendium (3) MOTION #3 Approve the Phase I proposal of the IEEE Systems Compendium
