Philosophy Then Now Classroom Management – Students assist with making classroom rules Differentiation because I thought I should, but I didn’t fully understand the benefits or goals of differentiation Pre-Assessment was a component of my lesson plans Centers for students in grades K - 2 Classroom Management – Develop rules and expectations in advance Differentiation because I believe in it and now understand that it does not lower expectations Pre-Assess to develop my lesson plans Centers are beneficial in any grade level Always – Create a nurturing and safe learning environment for all
Conclusion - My Plan to Develop as A Professional Educator Desire to teach in a K – 5 classroom If no teaching jobs are available, continue working as a paraprofessional or a certified substitute teacher Volunteer for After School Tutoring Program Continue researching and learning about the new Common Core Curriculum Continue researching different teaching methods and programs through the internet, educational publications, and classroom observations Possibly pursue a Master’s Degree after at least one full year in my own classroom
