Meek Mill Meek Mill is a rapper from Philadelphia and has recently been signed to Rick Ross's Maybach Music Group. Meek Mill was born in South Philadelphia and was raised in North Philadelphia on Third Street. In 2007, Meek debuted his Flamerz series, which stands for hottest songs and released his first mixtape, Flamerz, which featured the hit single, "In My Bag". In 2008, Meek debuted Flamerz 2 -Hottest In The City", which showcased more of his lyrical abilities with the singles, "I'm So Fly", "Prolli" and "Hottest In The City". Upon release of Flamerz 2, it caught the attention of founder and President of 215-Aphillyated Records, Charlie Mack. Mack was immediately impressed with Meek that he signed him to his management company. During the same year, he met the founder and owner of Grand Hustle Records, T.I. T.I. was impressed with his lyrical ability that he offered him an opportunity to travel to Los Angeles to meet with him along with the Warner Bros. Records, within one week both record companies offered him a deal. Meek was overwhelmed by the offers; however, he felt collaborating with T.I. was an opportunity of a lifetime and chose his label. An ecstatic Meek was on top of the world; a record deal and the chance to work with one of hip hop's greatest rappers and then a setback occurred. He was arrested, charged with a crime and order to serve seven months in jail. Meek pre-released three singles from his third mix tape Flamerz "The Preview" in August 2009, which featured the chart topping hits, "Make 'Em Say", "I'm Da Ish" featuring Ms. Jade and "Starting Something", in honor of Michael Jackson. Within the first two weeks of its release, Clear Channel added it to their play list, which is an anomaly in the music business. In June 2009, Meek began immediately working on his mixtape - Flamerz 3, "The Wait Is Over - Gangster Grill Edition", hosted by DJ Drama and featuring the songs: "Im Clean", "Rose Red", and "I'm Killin 'Em". The highly anticipated mixtape was set to be released on January 19, In the future, Meek plans to establish the Meek Mill Foundation, which will mentor young males between the ages of on the importance of "Education over Incarceration." He also plans to collaborate with United Community Action Network and the Lifers of Graterford Prison to address the violence plaguing our cities. In March 2011, Meek Mill was named one of the top "Freshman of 2011" by XXL magazine, where he was awarded the title "Most Street". He appeared on the cover of the April 2011 edition along with fellow 2011 Freshmen, Lil Twist, Cyhi Da Prynce, Big K.R.I.T., Diggy Simmons, Kendrick Lamar, Yelawolf, Fred The Godson, Mac Miller, YG, and Lil B.

Rick Ross  William Leonard Roberts II (born January 28, 1976), better known by his stage name Rick Ross, is an American rapper. He derived his stage name from the drug trafficker "Freeway" Ricky Ross, to whom he has no connection. Ross founded the record label Maybach Music Group TEFLON DON is more than just the title of the new fourth album by Def Jam recording artist Rick Ross it's a title of respect earned the hard way by the man who ruled Miami's underground rap scene, and then came out of the shadows to make the three biggest scores of his career - when his first three albums all entered the Soundscan chart at #1 in 2006 (Port Of Miami), 2008 (Trilla), and 2009 (Deeper Than Rap). In the heat of the summer, the 12-track TEFLON DON arrives June 29th on the Boss' Maybach Music label, bringing some serious fireworks to the Independence Day blow-up. The album's first single pick, "Super High" featuring fellow Def Jam artist Ne-Yo, debuts at radio and across the Internet today - it will officially impact at Urban radio formats on May 3rd and at Rhythm radio formats on May 10th. In addition to Ne-Yo, and members of the Miami-based Triple-C (Carol City Cartel), the A-list guests featured on TEFLON DON include Jay-Z, Kanye West, Chrisette Michelle, Drake, T.I., and Raphael Sadiq. "Super High" was produced by DJ Clark Kent, who leads a squad of producers including J.U.S.T.I.C.E. League, the Runners, the Inkredibles, (all of whom worked on Deeper Than Rap) and the Olympics. The players all come together on Teflon Don: The Movie, a documentary film that probes the making of the new album. TEFLON DON is the hotly anticipated follow-up to Deeper Than Rap, which was named the #4 top-selling hardcore hip- hop album of 2009 by Interference.com, in the company of releases by Jay-Z, Kanye West, and Lil' Wayne. Deeper Than Rap got a big jump out the gate with its first single, "Magnificent" featuring John Legend, produced by J.U.S.T.I.C.E. League, Top 5 on Billboard's Hot Rap Tracks chart and Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart. Rick Ross rose from ruling Miami's underground rap scene, to become 2006's buzz-worthiest hip-hop artist with Port Of Miami, his #1 Pop/#1 R&B/#1 Rap major label debut album. Its unstoppable single "Hustlin'" became the first mastertone ever certified platinum by the RIAA for sales of 1 million copies before the associated album had even been released. A remix was subsequently issued, featuring Jay-Z and Young Jeezy. Port Of Miami's second single was "Push It" whose movie soundtrack excerpts (circa 1990) from Giorgio Moroder's "Scarface (Push It To The Limit)" evoked the gritty soul of a city that is always on the edge of exploding. Six-foot-two, 300-pound Rick Ross - a "hip-hop heavyweight," as described by the New York Times - came into his own on Trilla, whose second single release, "The Boss," featuring T-Pain, rose to #2 on the Billboard Hot Rap chart, #5 R&B, and Top 20 on the Hot 100. The next single, "Here I Am" featuring Nelly and Avery Storm, also hit inside the Top 10 on the Rap and R&B charts. Trilla got off to a fast start with a release week performance on ABC's Jimmy Kimmel Live. "The Boss" video went into rotation on MTV, MTV2, and MTV hits, along with BET and FUSE.

Wale  Wale Victor Folarin (born Olubowale Victor Akintimehin September 21, 1984), better known by his stage name Wale (pronounced /wah-lay/), is an American rapper from Washington, D.C.. Wale was born to Nigerian immigrant parents. He rose to prominence in 2006, when his song "Dig Dug (Shake It)" became popular in his hometown. Wale became locally recognized and continued recording music for the regional audience. Producer Mark Ronson discovered Wale in 2006 and signed him to Allido Records in While signed to that label, Wale released several mixtapes and appeared in national media including MTV and various urban magazines. In 2008, Wale signed to Interscope Records for $1.3 million, and his debut album Attention Deficit was released in 2009 with the singles "Chillin", "Pretty Girls", and "World Tour". The album, although under-shipped, received positive reviews from critics. Wale is currently signed on with Rick Ross' Maybach Music Group, where members of the label released a compilation album, Self Made Vol. 1 on May 23, 2011.

Pill  Tyrone Rivers, better known by his stage name Pill, is an American rapper from Atlanta, Georgia. In early 2009 Pill's first mixtape 4180: The Prescription and his first single "Trap Goin' Ham" was released. Pill was featured in The Source's Unsigned Hype section. He also appeared on Killer Mike's Underground Atlanta compilation on the tracks "Bunkin'" and "Grind Time." His second mixtape 4075: The Refill and his second single off the mixtape "Glass" was released. In 2010 he was featured on the cover of XXL as part of the XXL Freshman 10 line-up with Donnis, Nipsey Hussle, Jay Rock, J. Cole, OJ da Juiceman and more.
