On average there are about 8 or 9 basic cuts of meat that come form the beef, with many variations leading off of the basic cuts. Here’s a few cuts and variations, - Round steak - Boneless Rump Roast - Bottom Round Roast - Tip Roast - Tip Steak

* - Sirloin Steak * - Brisket * - Ribs * Other Cuts * - Ground Beef * - Cubed Steak * - Beef for Stew

* And if you get really in to it, you could have: * - Brains * - Hearts * - Kidneys * - Liver * - Tails * And Tongues, the other non desirable meat.

Fun fact; With an average market (live or on hoof) weight of 1,150 lbs. The typical steer will produce a 715 lb. (dressed weight) carcass. So right at around ½ of the animal can be used for meat, and the rest can be used as By Products.

* By Product- * A product made during the manufacture of something else. or, other uses from the same product.

* Dairy By Products: * - Cheese * - Milk (whole, partially skimmed, skimmed) * - Yogurt * - Ice Cream * - Buttermilk * - Butter * - Evaporated or Condensed Milk * - Chocolate milk * - Cream (coffee cream, half-and-half, whipped, whipping)

* Products from the Hides- * - Shoes- Footballs * - Wallets- Baseballs * - Purses- Baseball Mitts * - Belts - Gloves * - Jackets/Coats- Cowboy Boots * - Harnesses- Many other Leather goods * - Saddles- Traveling Bags

* Products form the Fats- From the Horns and Hooves- * - Fertilizer- Knifes and Umbrella Handles * - Soaps- Combs * - Animal Feeds - Glue * - Industrial Oils * - Lubricants * - Leather Dressing * - Candles

* As you can tell there are By Products that come from basically the entire animal, as well as the meat, thus making the beef cow a very useful and desirable animal.

* The End

* The Ending of the End.
