microK Slide:1 Introducing the microK Isothermal Technology Ltd

microK Slide:2 What is the microK?  A New Instrument providing performance better than 1mK  Manufactured by Isotech Designed Exclusively for Isotech Not a badged instrument

microK Slide:3 Why is it exciting? A great deal, it is the most accurate instrument in its class, the only instrument to work at this precision with platinum resistance thermometers, thermistors and thermocouples. The core measurement technology was developed in conjunction with the National Physical Laboratory NPL and microK has the sole license for the use of this technology for temperature measurement.

microK Slide:4 The A to D  Uses specially designed analogue to digital converter used in conjunction with a digital signal processor (DSP)  Uses a unique adaptation of existing advanced sigma-delta ADC techniques to achieve linearity better than 0.4 ppm.  A further major benefit of this ADC technique is its low noise performance, reduced by a factor of 32 over conventional sigma- delta ADC circuits.

microK Slide:5 Accuracy  The microK achieves 0.4ppm over the whole range For SPRTs equivalent to 0.4mK  For Voltage the specification is 250nV at 20mV Equivalent to 0.01°C for a Gold Platinum thermocouple at 1000 °C

microK Slide:6 Accuracy  Resolution Resistance: 0.01ppm of range Voltage: 10nV on 125mV Range  Stability Voltage 3 ppm / year

microK Slide:7 Resistance AND Voltage  microK supports SPRTs and IPRTs Thermistors Thermocouples  Only instrument in its class to do this  A DVM with comparable performance has a similar cost to the microK alone

microK Slide:8 Zero Drift for Resistance  The microK uses a “substitution technique” in which the Device-Under- Test and the Reference are successively switched This means that the stability of resistance ratio measurements is immeasurably small

microK Slide:9 Three Channel  Three Input Channels Best Practise Ready Allows two standards and a device under test to be connected simultaneously

microK Slide:10 Easy to Use  Operated by large touch screen display Intuitive Can add keyboard and mouse

microK Slide:11 Easy to Use  Includes Graphing Facility Auto or Manual Scales Intuitive

microK Slide:12 Easy to Use  Log Data to Internal Memory  Or USB Pen Drive

microK Slide:13 Solid State - Reliable  All Solid Sate  Reliable No potentiometers No Dials No Knobs No Relays
