What is a Hurricane? A general term used to describe a tropical depression,tropical storm or hurricane.

Where do Hurricanes form? On the part of the ocean were the water is warmer. Mostly close to the equator.

What do hurricanes need and produce? Hurricanes need hot water and a current to form. (convection) Hurricanes produce strong winds and a lot of rain.

How to categorize a Hurricane? A hurricane is categorized by the speed of the wind.

What is a Hurricane watch? Is an alert given when a hurricane is going to reach land in less than 36 hours.

What is a Hurricane Warning? A hurricane warning is a message to the people that a hurricane is going to reach the area or near by and then in 24 the hurricane will hit.
