ADQ for Airports Torunn I. Carlsson Director Technical and Aeronautical Information Management Avinor ADQ IMPLEMENTATION WORKSHOP May 2013

Avinors Airports 46 airports 5 mill people 22 mill pax ~10000 Pax

Status Airports dataorigination All airports regularly survey (every ~2-5 year) (Arial photography, laserscanning) AMDB for all airports – 36 airports with 3D AMDB / 10 airports 2D Critical «points» (THR, Instr etc.) survey – Landsurveying company – full digital transfer For all data submitted to AIP: metadata and sourcedata recorded in originatordatabase GIS used at airports for operations – data maintenance

Challenges Lack of understanding of why ADQ? Common message from the regulators in each state? Are the rules and guidelines clear enough? Cost Lack of priority – New EASA rules for certification – CDM – Other projects

Airport data / AMDB Consistency between the regulations How do I as an airport report changes ? Can the datamodell I use be used for reporting to AISP? Who has to save the data for historical purposes? Do I have to make my AMDB temporal? CAD world

SLA SLA between airport and AISP required? – Cost? ADQ data originator Harmonized list vs EASA NPA ? Are they the same? Which one do I follow?

Obstacles AreaHor. accVer. acc 2a5 m3 m 2b5 m3 m 2c5 m3 m 2d5 m3 m 3.5 m 42.5 m1 m Cost of obstacle surveying? Who is paying?

Terrain Terrain dataHor.accVer.acc Area 150 m30 m Area 25 m3 m Area 3.5 m Area 42.5 m1 m Terrain data collection : National Mapping authority? National civil aviation authority? ANSP? Airport? WHY WORRY?

Example of obstacle surfaces around Norwegian airport
