Transition Updates March 2015

B14 Post-school Outcomes Wayne State University’s (WSU) research team will deploy the following surveys for 2015: Parent Survey (Facilitated Parent Involvement, State Performance Plan Indicator 8); and Former Student Survey (Post-School Outcomes, State Performance Plan Indicator 14) for students who left high school during school year. This deployment is scheduled to take place this spring/summer for Cohort 2. The survey process will begin with the deployment of pre-survey notifications in early March, followed by survey administration from mid-March through August. Please communicate with your LEA administrators, local transition team members, coordinators, and parent advisory committees to make them aware that parents and/or former students will receive pre-survey notifications, survey mailings, and telephone calls from the WSU research staff. Please remind LEAs that if a parent or a student requests a survey, the parent or student should contact WSU directly at the following toll free numbers: Parent Survey: Former Student Survey: Thank you for helping us to collect this important information.
