My Life! By Louis the Trumpeter Swan

That’s my Mom and Dad when they fall in love.

This is my Mom and Dad when they find the pond.

This is when the nest is made and Mom lays her first egg.

There’s the fox that almost ate my mom.

That’s me on my first time in the water.

That’s my Dad trying to get me to talk. Doesn’t he understand already?

After that talk nothing seems as fun anymore.

You cannot make yourself feel something you do not feel, but you can make yourself do right in spite of your feelings.

This is Dad teaching us how to fly. But can I fly without saying Kohoh?

This is when I got to Red Rock Lakes Montana.

That’s Sam’s house. He’s who saved my Mom from that fox. When I need help I look to him.

Each friend represents a world in us, a world possibly not born until they arrive, and it is only by this meeting that a new world is born.

This is Mrs. Hammerbothams class. Where I learned to read and write.

This is when I return to Red Rock Lakes Montana. Too bad nobody learned too read or write while I was gone.

This is the Music shop where my father stole the trumpet.

This is my trumpet and where my father gave it to me!

Only a life lived for others is a life worthwhile.

This is Camp Kookooskoos. Last one in the lake has to eat SKUNK tonight!

If hard work were such a wonderful thing, surely the rich would have kept it all to themselves.

This is a picture of Applegate’s near drown and a sketch of me with my life-saving medal.

The hero is one who kindles a great light in the world, who sets up blazing torches in the dark streets of life for men to see by. The saint is the man who walks through the dark paths of the world, himself a light.

So this is Boston, eh? Not to shabby!

Hooray! I got a job at the swan boats!!!

This is the Ritz hotel, I am going because the boatman is paying and I can’t not accept something I have never tried.

Got to go! I have got a job in Philadelphia!

This is the Night Club in which I worked the night shift at.

This is the storm that my true love Serena got stuck in. Two days later I won her heart with the sound of my trumpet.

Love at first sight is easy to understand; it's when two people have been looking at each other for a lifetime that it becomes a miracle.

These are the zookeepers who tried to clip Serena’s wing!

This is the manager of the bird area of the zoo. I’m surprised that I had to get Sam to come to get him to let Serena go!

This is when me and Serena return to the pond where I was born.
