Common Board Configuration Wednesday, September 5, /5/2012 Agenda- – Introduction/Goal Setting – Instructional Focus Lesson Model Lesson “Are You an Average Joe?” – Discuss Student need and set priorities for instruction. Closing Activities – Assign times to present Homework – Develop Lessons to present to groups. Include all necessary materials and items to teach the lesson. Learning Goal- Students will: -Find the size of the average person in the class -Compare themselves to that average Essential Question – How do you compare to the average person in your class?

Standards- Math MA.5.A.1.4- Divide multi-digit whole numbers fluently, including solving real-world problems, demonstrating understanding of the standard algorithm, and checking for reasonableness of results. MA.5.G.5.3- Solve problems requiring attention to approximation, selection of appropriate measuring tools, and precise measurement.

Standards- Science SC.5.L Identify the organs in the human body and describe their functions, including the skin, brain, heart, lungs, stomach, liver, intestines, pancreas, muscles and skeleton, reproductive organs, bladder, and sensory organs.
