8 CARE Innovative II: why and what Experience with CARE Innovative is considered to be a success A decision was taken to start a second round of CARE innovation action projects. CARE_II for innovation has started with a call for proposal identifying small feasibility studies: –Same objective: co-operative actions within R&D in the field of ATM aiming to improve the overall system; –Same spirit: seek for real innovation; –Same process: selected project sponsored 100% by EUROCONTROL Action management Marc Brochard (EEC INO)

9 CARE_II proposal had to be provided to the ERC–INO by the end of January 2004; 50 proposals were received on time Innovative Research Advisory Board meeting 19 February Selected project are likely to start early April Proposal selection process 30/01/0420/02/0412/03/045/04/04 selection evaluation Proposal submission start
