‘Timothy’ 25 times in NT. Paul noticed ‘sincere faith’ in the young disciple. They became very close, like Philippians 2:22: “…Timothy has proved himself, because as a son with his father he has served with me in the work of the gospel.” 1 Tim 1:2 Paul writes “To Timothy, my true son in the faith…” and v. 18 “Timothy, my son…” Text tells us 1. The blessing of a Godly mother.
