What is infrared photography?

How to achieve infrared three ways of achieving infrared effect, they are  infrared film  infrared filter  or converting a normal photo into infrared on photoshop

Infrared filter  blocks out the light that is visible and records a different wavelength the human eye cant see.  The filter appears black and is hard to see through Infrared filter Spectrum of light Visible lightInfraredUltraviolet

Effects of Infrared Photography  Creates a dream-like effect Infrared Non infrared black and white

Effects of Infrared Photography  turns plant life white, caused by the green pigment in plants called Chlorophyll.

Effects of Infrared Photography  Makes skies look black, creating a good contrast between the trees and sky.

Effects of Infrared Photography  Shows milky looking portraits/skin and eyes are usually dark.

Why I chose infrared  Haven’t heard of it before  Different to what I have already done  I liked the effects it created

What I wanted to achieve  same effect that I saw on the internet  Pictures that looked different to the norm  An overall nice looking scenic landscape

Equipment and settings  Manual settings 3.3 over exposed  Aperture as wide as I could have it to increase shutter speeds usually f22  Auto focus - cant see through the lens to manual focus  My own digital SLR  Tripod at all times
