Keep Wickliffe Beautiful CLOTHING COLLECTION
Goal of Program To collect gently used clothing that can be “re-used” and distributed to needy families in Wickliffe and surrounding communities.
How it began... Started in 1991 Collection was held a month before at Wickliffe City Hall and Civic Center Was held twice a year - spring & fall Now held annually in the fall only
Promotion of Event Collection advertised in Wickliffe Connection and News Herald newspapers Distribution promoted through Lake Co. Job & Family Services, local churches and outreach organizations (Council on Aging)

Project Schedule Clothing is collected for 4 weeks Thursday –set up & clothing brought in Friday - sorting done by volunteers Saturday – Distribution from 9 AM – Noon Saturday – bagging of leftover clothing after event Monday – charity picks up leftover clothing
Distribution Day Recipients begin to gather at location an hour before doors open Given GLAD bags for their selections Can take more than one bag Label bags with their names to prevent another person taking wrong bag No proof of need is required
