SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE SNL is a show that is very cynical because the actors and writers make fun of famous people, society, and everything else that they can. For example, all of the stock characters in the show make fun of a trait that is undesirable in society. “Debbie Downer” makes fun of all the negative people in our world who think the worst of every situation and always complain. By having this character be overly negative, viewers see how ridiculous it is to be an actual Debbie Downer. SNL definitely mocks society and is cynical.
