What is GIS Education Research? A focus on learning with spatial data, spatial analysis methods, and GIS tools. Student attitude and achievement. Teacher training and professional development UI and Interaction development

The community: About 40 researchers from academia, industry, and private organizations. Group is open but meetings are by invitation. Focused on better understanding GIS and geotechnologies in education. Applications of geotechnologies to student learning, include spatial thinking.
