HTRC Timeline Phase I: an 18-mo development cycle, began 01 July 2011 Phase I has a 12-mo demonstration scheduled for June 2012 Phase II: broad availability of resource, begins 01 January 2013

Key Technical Successes Set up portal for HTRC. Uses Lift framework and supports inCommon for identity and access management. Large percentage of HathiTrust members already members of inCommon Demonstrated SEASR running against 50,000 volume collection at Digital Humanities Big Tent Symposium, Palo Alto, CA June Successful automated synchronization of text collections between HathiTrust and HTRC User access will be through web services, and portal. Access initially will be to SEASR tools.

Looking forward HTRC needs access to large-scale compute resources to meet expected demand Needs operational staff, monitoring and audit capabilities User community support Requires continued attention to long-term sustainability beyond Phase I
