What changes did industrialization bring about for the following groups of people? Poor city dwellers No plans, sanitary codes or building regulations to controlled the rampant growth of English cities. The poor lacked adequate housing Many were forced to live in dark, filthy, overcrowded slums Very unhealthy and unsafe conditions

What changes did industrialization bring about for the following groups of people? Factory Workers Factory owners wanted to keep their machines running for as many hours a day as possible. Workers were forced to work long hours Starvation wages, Often dangerous and unhealthy conditions Later, working conditions and the standards of living improved = laws were passed

What changes did industrialization bring about for the following groups of people? Wealthy merchants, factory owners, shippers Gained wealth and status in society Joined a growing middle class of skilled workers, professionals, business people and well-to-do farmers.
