Always check the District Designated Funds Tracking Form at our district website to confirm if your club has sufficient AVAILABLE DDF before submitting a District grant or offering DDF transfer funds for any district or global grant. The latest DDF tracking form can be found under the Foundation Heading beneath the District Designated Funds (DDF) subheading. The Club sends the District Grant application to the District Grants Sub-Committee Co-Chair (DGSCCC) Joe Chavara, for his review. The DGSCCC assigns each grant a tracking # of the form #XX. The Club sends the DDF transfer form to Bob Shydo (Fax all signed DDF transfer forms to Bob Shydo at ) for Bob to confirm and approve that you have the requested amount of DDF available. The DGSCCC logs the grant into the spreadsheet with its assigned tracking number awaiting the approval from Bob Shydo. Bob Shydo sends to the DGSCCC the DDF transfer form with his approval. Upon receiving the DDF transfer approval, the DGSCCC issues to the club the District Grant tracking form which includes the amount of the grant and the grant number. The DGSCCC also sends to the club the final report form. Upon receipt of the approved District Grant Tracking form, the club is now permitted to spend their money on the project. Upon completion of the project, the club sends to the DGSCCC the final report. The final report must contain photos and receipts to verify the completion of the grant. The DGSCCC reviews the final report and verifies the expenses. The DGSCCC signs the District Grant Tracking form and sends it to the District Foundation Chair. The District Foundation Chair signs off and sends the District Grant Tracking form to the District Treasurer. The District Treasurer issues the check to the club. When all the District Grants are complete, the DGSCCC submits all final reports to the District Foundation Chair. The District Foundation Chair completes the Rotary Foundation Final report and submits all District Grants final reports with district bank statements to RI.

Meets actual needs of a community Strategically focused, high impact Examples include: Supporting peace building in communities and regions affected by conflict Improving the capacity of local healthcare professionals Providing equitable access to safe water, good sanitation and hygiene Reducing mortality and morbidity rates for children under five Increasing adult literacy Developing opportunities for productive work

Builds skills within a community by local training Teach local professionals about a particular field Supporting groups of professionals traveling aboard for study on their profession This type of training may be most effective in conjunction with a humanitarian project. DISTRICT GRANT SCHOLARS ARE SUPPORTED BY THE CLUB GLOBAL GRANT SCHOLARS MUST SUPPORT AN AREA OF FOCUS AND BE FOR GRADUATE-LEVEL ACADEMIC STUDIES GLOBAL GRANT SCHOLARS MUST HAVE A ROTARY CLUB OR DISTRICT IN THE COUNTRY OR GEOGRAPHICAL AREA WHERE THE ACTIVITY WILL TAKE PLACE. The Grant must be in one of the six areas of focus The Club President ( ) and Club President-Elect must sign the Club Memorandum of Understanding The club must be a $100 per capita club Someone from the club that will be working on grants must attend the District Grant Management Seminar The next grant seminar will be Spring, 2016 The minimum funding that would be matched dollar for dollar is $15,000 The grant budget must be ≥$30,000 with DDF matched 1:1 and cash 1:2 Cash contributions are subject to a 5% surcharge for operation costs as of 7/1/15 Global Grants may include a Vocational Training Team The Club would have to set up a separate checking account for each grant The Rotary Foundation will be sending the grant money to the lead club for disbursement. The Global Grant must be MEASURABLE and SUSTAINABLE
