Chapter 10 Trey

Factors: Factors are numbers that you can multiply to get a certain number. Some examples of factors are below. Factors of 10 1, 2, 5, 10

Multiples: A multiple is the opposite of a factor. A multiple is a number you get as an answer of a factor. Some examples of multiples are below. The first 10 multiples of 9 9, 18, 27, 36, 45, 54, 63, 72, 81, 90

Composite Numbers: Composite numbers are numbers that can be multiplied by more factors than one and itself. The opposite of composite numbers are prime numbers. A composite number is 20. It is a composite number because it can be divided by more numbers than one and itself. Its factors are 1, 2, 4, 5, 10, 20

Prime Numbers: Prime numbers are numbers that cannot be divided by any other numbers than one and itself. The opposite of prime numbers are composite numbers. Which can be divided by more numbers than one and itself. A prime number is 7 You can’t divide it by any other numbers than one and itself. If you don’t believe me try it yourself! It doesn’t work!!

Finding the Mean: The mean is a number that is the average of 2 or more numbers. Which means the closest point to all the numbers combined. To find the mean you must add all your numbers you are trying to find the mean for. Then, you must divide the sum of your numbers by the amount of numbers you have. Find the mean of 5, 8, 6, 3, and 3 You will then add all of your numbers up. The mean of these numbers is
