Types of money in schools General – majority of funds, from local, county, state, federal funds Building – specifically for facilities Child nutrition – specifically for costs of breakfast/lunch Activity – generated from fund raisers/ticket sales Bond – voter approved based on property valuation
Bond funds can be spent on… Constructing, equipping, repairing, and remodeling school buildings, acquiring school furniture, fixtures and equipment and acquiring and improving school sites and levying and collecting an annual tax in such district for the payment of the interest and principal of said bonds.

So…..Bond specifics – the money $7,415,000 Total Bond – Expect approx. $6,400,000 available for project costs Increase in millage of mils On $1,000 in taxes, increase approx $192 yr/ $16 month/$3.71 week/$.53 day Must increase taxes in Hilldale district because we currently have no sinking fund obligations

This is the first step – we must take this step forward We have more needs than money Classrooms Roofing and flooring issues Security/office restraints Maintenance/improvement of current facilities We believe this is necessary to provide quality facilities for students
The next steps We will have publicity about the bond election – brochures, list reminding to vote, speaking to any groups that want info We have several support groups (booster clubs, PTO, etc) who will contact patrons VOTE: March 5, 2013
