Session Objectives At the end of this session, participants will be able to: Recognize the responsibilities of the zone chairperson in accordance with the Standard District Constitution and By-Laws Utilize the Zone Chairperson Manual as a resource during their term

Responsibilities Further purposes of the association Serve as chairperson of DG Advisory Committee in the zone; call regular meetings Invite GMT/GLT district coordinators and DG team to discuss membership/leadership development and collaborative efforts at a DG Advisory Committee meeting

Responsibilities File DG Advisory Committee report and send to appropriate district officers Promote CEP to clubs and work with district GMT/GLT and DG team to implement the program With the GMT district coordinator, help organize new clubs and stay informed on club activities and well-being

Responsibilities With the GLT district coordinator, support leadership initiatives by keeping Lions informed of leadership development opportunities Represent each club in any problems with the district, MD council chairperson, or LCI Supervise progress of projects in the zone Aim for each club to operate under club constitution and by-laws

Responsibilities Promote representation at international and district conventions Visit a meeting of each club at least once during his/her term, and report findings to appropriate district officers Perform other such functions/acts as may be required by International Board of Directors
