C h a r a c t e r - H o n o r - I n t e g r i t y - S e r v i c e - E x c e l l e n c e Space Working Group (SWG) Authority and Charter Aug 03 – Memorandum of Agreement jointly signed by Brigadiers General Wagie and Weida in Aug The USAFA SWG is chartered to maximize the level of space awareness in each graduate of the Academy Review and coordinate all space education and training programs, efforts, and initiatives taking place at the USAF Academy. Ensure all mission elements are fully aware of each others efforts in space education and training (SE&T). Provide recommendations to leverage and coordinate these efforts to the greatest extent possible.

C h a r a c t e r - H o n o r - I n t e g r i t y - S e r v i c e - E x c e l l e n c e SWG Purpose 1. Draft an SE&T Strategic Plan and s taff for approval by 34TRW/CC and USAFA/DF. 2. Meet at least Quarterly. 3. Assess each SE&T program/effort/initiative and make recommendations for cross-mission cooperation and coordination. 4. Recommend changes to the SE&T strategic plan/vision when appropriate. 5. The SWG chairman should ensure that an annual report is produced that summarizes the group’s findings and discussions. 6. The SWG represents USAFA in cooperative efforts with AFSPC, Air University, AFIT, the Space Foundation, the Colorado Space Advocacy, the National Space Science Technology Institute, and other organizations promoting SE&T.
