Education Required The only education you need is a GED or a High-School Diploma to join the Marine Corps.
Money amount per month The salary amount per month is $1,467 for the lowest rank E- 1(Private). The amount for the highest rank O-10 (General) is $18,936 a month. Rank up to earn more money.
Skills and Classes The skills you need are the skills you learn in basic training. Pass all classes with good grades.
Promotions Promotions to higher ranks can only be decided by your commander. If you are an E-3 (Lance Corporal) or higher, you can only increase your rank if there is a vacancy in that position. Corporal Sergeant
