Problem & Hypothesis Problem: Which type of cover allows spinach to grow best? Hypothesis: If you cover the spinach with cloth then, the cloth will allow the spinach to have a better growth rate.

Spinach Growth The data shows that the spinach under cloth started off growing faster. On the fourth week the spinach under the plastic covering grew better and longer then the spinach under the cloth covering. After the final measurement the spinach under the plastic covering had a higher growth average.

Analysis and conclusion The plastic covered plants averaged at 3.91 cm. The cloth covered plants averaged at 3.64 cm. We conclude that the plastic covered plants grew larger than the cloth covered plants by an almost negligible amount.

Ideas for future experiments The growing period should be longer Maybe two months would help the results be more obvious/distinguished. Maybe two months would help the results be more obvious/distinguished. There should have been a regulated amount of water that each group of plants so that there was nothing except the covering that could have affected growth

Personal reflection on the project. - There should have been more varieties of vegetables that we could grow. - The project was very fun to do we learned to garden and watch them grow although I think we should have had more time. - The project was a great learning experience and we all had a lot of fun in the garden planting and trying new vegetables.
