Background Information A vegetable garden can help by cutting down on the use of fuels and import Also it makes plants which create good air Also it is being useful by making food

Causes and Effects How will what you do change your local environment? CausesEffects You get foodYou get energy to grow ect. You help the environmentYou help the world and your self Local foodCuts down on imported food which means less fossil fuel

5W’s and an H QuestionThink about your topic and the background. Who can help you?The local Environment What do you already know about this? I know that it could reduce fossil fuel imports and increase the use of local foods and eating healthy Where are you doing this?I’m doing this in my back yard where it’s a big space for vegetable garden When will you do this?I would do this in as soon as possible Why is it a good idea? It’s a good idea because it reduces the use of fossil fuel imports and increase the use of local foods and eating healthy How will you do this?I would do this by gathering my friends and start planting vegetables then start a local food market because my dad has his license to start a market ect.

Resources Cited Where did you get your information from? Put the name of the place where you got the information, the URL and date you found it on the Web, publisher, page numbers, etc erty/gardens/article ece erty/gardens/article ece 2. grow-vegetable- garden?gclid=CM2S9q75h6gCFcZw5QodD12WrAhttp:// grow-vegetable- garden?gclid=CM2S9q75h6gCFcZw5QodD12WrA 3. fruit-and-vegetable-garden-in-central-florida-what- should-i-grow/ fruit-and-vegetable-garden-in-central-florida-what- should-i-grow/

Hypothesis Write a hypothesis about how you think this change will help your environment and your ecological issue. QuestionConditional StatementIf, Then Statement How can I reduce local fossil fuels by Planting a vegetable garden It may reduce it by a third or so If continued it may increase and reduce more fossil fuels Sample: Most commonly, hypotheses take three formats: 1.a question, "Does temperature affect fermentation?" 2.a conditional statement, "Temperature may affect fermentation." 3.an If, then statement, "If fermentation rate is related to temperature, then increasing the temperature will increase gas production.

Experiment Design an experiment to test your hypothesis 2. It's official: vegetable growing is back! Not since The Good Life has Britain been sowing, planting and harvesting with such fervour. Worried about food miles and hungry to eat wholesome organic produce, more and more of us are opting to grow our own. Sales of vegetable seeds have now overtaken those of flowers 3. the Problem is that there are to many fossil fuels being imported 4. Form a hypothesis I have figured that by planting a vegetable garden may reduce the import on fossil fuels by a third 5. The experiment-determine how I would find data to learn what I want to know or explain is to Plant a vegetable garden and maybe make a local Market 6. I Performed the experiment and collected data about my topic and found out that it increased by ¼

Research The people who invented the vegetable garden are the ancient Mesopotamians. It was in the early early time around 3100 B.C. After the Mesopotamians the Egyptians continued the art of farming vegetable gardens and fruits etc. After the Egyptians and early people we still continue the art of planting vegetable gardens.
