Expert Jigsaw Geometry: Chapter 1

Stage 1 Open to the assigned section in your book. Individually read your section and take notes: –Key ideas –One interesting point –Something that needs clarification Join with your group and share

Stage 2 Discuss what is important. Come up with a way to organize and present to the class. Develop an activity to help others learn about your section. –You may find supplemental information not in the book. (I’ll even let you use Wikipaedia)

Stage 3 Form new groups. Each section should be represented. Representative(s) from each section will do a mini-presentation of their sections, and lead activities. Write down ideas that need clarification.

Stage 4 In Jigsaw Groups, demonstrate your knowledge of all six sections. –Create a test –Short series –Book –Etc
