Aug 7 09 Psychiatric Evaluation CPT Code: Meetings between a psychiatrist and a child, adolescent or adult in which the professional tries to glean information necessary to diagnose an emotional disorder. During this interview the psychiatrist collects enough data about the patient, through input from the substance abuse and/or co-occurring evaluation, previous treatment records and consultation with the treatment team, to develop an initial psychiatric diagnosis and treatment plan, including medication assistance therapy Who can provide service: see next slide

In order for a difficult situation to constitute a crisis, the stressor must be experienced as threatening, and of an intensity/magnitude that can not be managed by the clients normal coping capacities.
