Whales by: Cheyanne Ward

What Whales Look Like There are many kinds of whales but my favorite is the Blue Whale. It weighs 90 metric pounds and it is 149 feet long .Also they are blue or gray in color. There features are

What whales eat The Blue Whale feeds mostly on krill, copepods and some eat zooplankton. An adult can eat up to 300 copepods. That's a lot! But that's not all they also eat fish.

Where Whales live I don’t have much to say because they don’t live on land but I can say that they live in cold Atlantic Waters.

What Sounds Whales Make Whales make a variety of sounds like clicking the most common sound is a low groaning sound. They also make other sounds you might never think of. Like maybe a roar!

Are Whales mammals or fish Whales give birth to their young ,they are warm-blooded and they have lungs. They are mammals.

How It Travels Whales use their fins to swim. Also they swim in groups.

Threats People hunt whales for their blubber because it has oil that is useful to men. You are probably thinking what is blubber ? Blubber is a layer of fat under their skin. The men can use the oil for fuel to run a car or boat.

Why They Are Important I chose whales for my research because I love whales and it is sad how they are dying.

THE END Thank you for watching my power point!
