JR. HIGH MATH Objective: to introduce mathematical concepts needed for students development/progression of math skills (Based Upon Student’s Ability of Progression)  6 th Grade (Fundamentals of Algebra/Pre-Algebra)  7 th Grade (Algebra 1 )  8 th Grade (Algebra 1 & Introduction to Geometry) Additional Resources: Weekly Individualized Practice Assignments w/ Renaissance Learning’s Accelerated Math Program & Moby Max Math Program.

COMPUTERS Main Areas Of Focus: Typing/Keyboarding Skills, Digital Citizenship Curriculum, Google Docs, Sheets, Slides, & Coding  Typing.com- ability to monitor lesson progression, typing test progression, and words per minute.(speed, accuracy, & time spent) Beginner (14 Lessons) Intermediate(11 Lessons) Advanced(9 Lessons) Practice (11 Lessons)

COMPUTERS  Digital Citizenship: materials/lessons are designed to empower students to think critically, behave safely, and participate responsibly in our digital world. (Curriculum Breakdown Groups 3 rd -5 th & 6 th -8 th)  Each grouping has 3 Units w/ 5 Lessons per unit.  Lesson Categories: Internet Safety, Privacy & Security, Relationships & Communication, Cyber bullying, Digital Footprint & Reputation, Self-image & Identity, Information Literacy, Creative Credit & Copyright

COMPUTERS  Google Docs: writing reports, journal logs, and more. Sheets: creating spreadsheets, Information organizing. Slides: creating presentations for class and reports.

COMPUTERS  CODING Kodable (1 st Grade – 3 rd Grade Recommended) Web based to create class set up for progress monitoring w/ class codes Students can select their own fuzz character, Unlock more characters as you progress Offers various levels of coding challenges were students are in charge of character movement Hopscotch (3 rd Grade – 8 th Grade Recommended) Emphasis on drawling lines and angles to create shapes with in locations on a coordinate plane (programing made easy) Multiply character selection Control character movement from coordinate plane positions calculating angles and degrees for certain shapes.
