Presentation of the Inception Report for the development and integration of sustainable development and environmentally sound decision making (biodiversity mainstreaming) with Tawana Land Board The Consultant (s) is required to develop and deliver: A Training Manual for integration of sustainable development and environmentally sound decision-making (biodiversity mainstreaming) into the Tawana Land Board operations. The module should be planned to run for three days of training including supplementary interactive activities

Tasks for the production of the training manual Prepare and produce the Training Manual Train trainers at UB-HOORC on the use of the manuals Together with trainers from UB pilot the draft training module with a focus group within the Tawana Land Board. Integrate comments from client and from the pilot training participants to enhance the training material.

Output expected from the consultants The Consultant will be required to deliver to the client a Trainee’s Manual and Trainer’s Manual which will together form the Training Manual. The Trainer’s Manual is comprised of background to the training course and guidance for training sessions.

Outputs continues In a binder the Consultant will provide the following for each thematic session approximately 6, following the proposed outline (to be provided by the client): -A session number and title -Allocated time for the session (training and activities) -Learning Objectives

Outputs continues Learning Strategies, including activities Materials Handouts (including administrative checklists for routine activities) Power Point Slides Additional links for follow- up information sources are recommended. (On the electronic version, relevant papers or other reference materials are recommended, e.g., World Bank, GTZ papers on Integrated Land Use Planning Approaches.)

Outputs continues The Learning Objectives, Materials, Handouts, and Slides comprise the Trainee’s Manual. The Training Manual must be provided as a hard copy and electronic format (Word files written to CD or DVD).
