What is a Lexile Measure? A Lexile measure is a valuable piece of information about either an individual's reading ability or the difficulty of a text, a book or magazine article. The Lexile measure is shown as a number with an "L" after it. For example, 880L is 880 Lexile.

Students will be graded on the following: – Classwork (40%) Shared inquiry discussions, tests, and quizzes – Independent Reading (25%) Reading Logs & Readers Responses, Book Hooks – Written Assessments (20%) Writing about reading – Homework (15%)
