 SSP Targets for the current financial year is finalised and signed off by Department of Higher Education  The Project owners will compile the project proposal for Discretionary Grants based on the targets  The project proposal will be signed off by the CFO after verifying SSP targets and the availability of funding.  The CEO then authorises the process going forward.  A DIS number will be issued by the projects office.  An Advertisement will be placed in the Government Tender Bulletin and will be posted onto the website calling for applications  All responses must be compliant to the criteria as per the advertisement and must quote the Reference Number (PROCT-) and be hand delivered to the tender box at 15 Shebourne Road, Park Town Johannesburg or posted to PO Box 3322, Houghton, 2041 in order to reach SS before the prescribed deadline date. for attention: Procurement Manager, MR Jabulani Kunene.  Applications will not be submitted via the regional office 2

 The Procurement Manager and Project owners will unlock the tender box immediately after the deadline has expired.  Late submissions will not be considered  The BID SPECIFICATION COMMITTEE( compliance,finance, and project staff) will capture, screen and organize the applications received.  The BID EVALUATION COMMITTEE ( procurement, finance manager and project staff) will evaluate applications against the criteria and make recommendations.  The BID ADJUDICATION COMMITTEE (CEO, CFO, Executive Manager: Discretionary Projects & Learnerships, and Company Secretary)will: ◦ assess process was fair and transparent ◦ Completeness of documents ◦ Allocation of limited resources ◦ Approval of recommendation 3

 Levy-paying member companies and registered exempt companies of SSETA  Applications must be signed off by their designate- CEO/Director/ HR Manager.  Employers registering one or more companies and submitting more than one application with the same directors, these applications will be considered as one application.  Training providers selected by the employers must be registered with Department of Higher Education and accredited by Service Seta for the qualification.  Learnership must be valid (current) and registered  the vendor form must be completed with all supporting documents  Original and current tax clearance certificate must be submitted 4
