4 Footprints 1. (Research) Aimed to explore and make recommendations on the opportunities for and the barriers to recruitment, retention and support of Indigenous students into medicine. 3 separate research projects Establishment of an advisory group Development of a DVD – “You can do it “ Publish a user friendly and publicly available report.
5 Footprints 2. Dissemination and scoping of the key recommendations identified in the report. Disseminate reports and DVD Test student responses to DVD Scope a Clearing House to help spread the ‘You can do it message” Develop 5 professional development modules for career teachers
6 Footprints 3. (As yet unfunded) Nation wide, large scale implementation of the outcomes from Footprints 2. Distribute DVD’s to all Indigenous organisations and university units Implement the career teachers professional development modules with all career teachers. Establish and maintain a clearing house.
